« Merry Christmas! | Main | What is Certification Good For? »

I think this is very cool.  Bob Parsons, the founder of GoDaddy and original founder of Parsons Technology has started a blog.  I've highly recommended GoDaddy in the past because of their awesome prices and service, as well as knowing that Parsons Technology was originally responsible for great family and Christian software products including QuickVerse and Membership Plus.  After reading Bob's blog, I'm all the more eager to recommend GoDaddy for domain registration and any of their other services.

I have to admit that Bob Parsons has surprised me. The cheap, sleazy commercials that he so adamantly defends are indicative of more than just backsliding. How people can defend him is beyond my comprehension.

I'm back. You'll recall my initial post to this blog about the Rooney behind issue. Well, I've since been really watching all that's been going on with Bob and his Super Bowl commercial...and I've been praying about how God would want me to respond because I really admire Bob as a business man. What God told me to do was a surprise. I woke up one morning about 4 a.m. and was compelled to build Bob a fan site. While I still disagree with him, I also believe strongly that God wants me to keep supporting and encouraging him. You can see the fan site at the URL I've included in this post. Pay special attention to my Commentary on Christian Response at: www.bobparsonsfanclub.homestead.com/agree2disagree.html

Anyway, I wanted to follow up and let you know how God has been working on my heart and mind in regards to these types of situations. Perhaps what I've said in my commentary will bring clarity to other Christians struggling with how to respond. Thanks ---Michelle

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed with that post, too. I have children, and it's an appalling disgrace what is allowed on television these days. We literally don't watch TV at our house except to watch our favorite football teams. Even then, I have to change the channel during commercials. I hadn't heard of the Parents Television Council before Bob's post. Sounds like a great idea to me, but I'm not going to hold my breath that things are going to get any better. As for my house, the TV, with its continual stream of useless garbage, will remained turned off.

another note on bob parsons...I really like him on so many levels, and do a lot of business with his company. The mickey rooney thing is the only disappointment I've seen so far, but it is a glaring one. Had his arguement been about cable censorship, I'd have no problem, but it's about what's aired on primetime tv, when kids are watching. I'm sure mickey rooney's behind was funny in the banned commercial, but, Superbowl Sunday is not the place for it - nor primetime at all for that matter.
